Monitoring Microplastic in Ria de Alvor

In collaboration with ARH-Algarve we are celebrating the environmental education week « SEMANA DA EDUCAÇÃO E INICIATIVAS DE VOLUNTARIADO  AMBIENTAL » welcoming English speaking people to be part in monitoring micorplastics in Ria de Alvor on the 24th and 27th of October from 10 :00 to 12 :00. Meeting point is at the Ria de Alvor estuary (37.132384 -8.611990 or 37°07’56.5″N 8°36’43.0″W). Please book in advance with isabel.soares@arocha.org

 

 

We are two EVS volunteers who are working on the problem of microplastic in the area surrounding Portimão and Lagos. During our activity, we will explain to you how important it is to be aware of the problematic microplastic in the environnement.

To be as efficient as possible, only 8 people can particpate per session.

We will show you how we are studying microplastic with a demonstration, explain what you can do in your life to avoid plastic and give you some statistics about the subject.

 

 

Nous sommes deux volontaire travaillant sur la probématique environnementale concernant les microplastiques sur les plages avoisinant Portimao et Lagos. Durant notre activité, nous allons vous démontrer l’importance d’etre informé sur le sujet.

 

Afin d’etre le plus efficace possible, nous allons travailler avec un petit groupe de 8 personnes maximum. Nous vous ferons une demonstration interactive de nos méthodes de travail, vous expliquer ce que vous pouvez faire au quotidien contre ce fléau et vous donner quelques statistique sur le sujet.
