If you live close to Alcobaça and if you would like to become involved in A ROCHA’s work, join our first local group in Portugal!
This group started in 2011 and these are some of the things they do:
- Bird watching
- Eklogia exhibition
- Rubbish collection on beaches
- Classification of trees of public interest (“classificação de arvoredo de interesse public”)
- Nursery of native plants to be used for reforestation or landscaping, with benefits for nature over exotic plants
A ROCHA in Alcobaça has a page on Facebook and produces a monthly e-newsletter.
